Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using Big Lead Scraper.

General Questions

Yes, Big Lead Scraper is a completely free Windows desktop application. There are no hidden fees, no subscription plans, and no limits on how many leads you can scrape.
Currently, Big Lead Scraper is only available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). We do not have native Mac or Linux versions at this time.
For standard usage, proxies are not strictly required because the scraper acts like a normal user scrolling through Google Maps. However, if you run multiple instances or scrape 24/7, Google might temporarily ask for CAPTCHAs.

Features & Extraction

When the software finds a business on Google Maps, it opens their website (if they have one) and scans the homepage and contact pages for email addresses and social media links.
You can export your complete data as a CSV (comma-separated values) file which opens perfectly in Excel or Google Sheets, or as a JSON file if you are importing into a custom CRM or database.
Yes, the software specifically looks for official social media profile links (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) listed directly on the business's own website.

Troubleshooting

Yes, the software is 100% safe. Because it's a relatively new application, Windows SmartScreen and some antivirus engines might flag it due to a lack of "reputation history". You can bypass this by clicking "More info" > "Run anyway".
Occasionally, Google will test if you are a robot. When this happens, look at the browser window that Big Lead Scraper opened, solve the CAPTCHA manually, and the scraper will automatically resume its work.
